National Cycle Network

Within East Dunbartonshire, National Cycle Network Route 754 can be found.

Route 754: Clydebank - Kirkintilloch - Falkirk - Linlithgow - Edinburgh
This route follows the Forth & Clyde Canal through north-west Glasgow and onwards to the Falkirk Wheel. It then follows the Union Canal to Edinburgh.

Kelvin Cycleway: Yorkhill - Kelvingrove - Botanic Gardens - Wyndford - Maryhill Park
This route leaves NCN Route 7 at Ferry Road and follows the River Kelvin upstream through the West End to the edge of the city, mostly on riverside paths. A shared-use footway alongside Maryhill Road connects the route to the city boundary at Killermont Bridge. Beyond there, cycle lanes continue from Hillfoot to Milngavie.

Strathkelvin Railway Path: Strathblane - Lennoxtown - Kirkintilloch - Moodiesburn - Glenboig
The Strathkelvin Railway Path runs along the course of an old railway line past the base of the Campsies. At Kirkintilloch it connects with the Forth & Clyde Canal, and continues into North Lanarkshire to end at Glenboig. Another path links Glenboig to Gartcosh.
