Demo to support the Safer Streets 20mph Bill – Tuesday 1pm

There will be a peaceful demonstration to show support for the Safer Streets 20mph Bill at 1pm this Tuesday (11th June) in Edinburgh at the Scottish Parliament.

Illustrating ‘Lives Interrupted’, people attending are asked to bring along a personal item to leave on one of 60 chairs being laid out to visualise the number of lives that could have been saved by a default reduction in the speed limit over the last 20 years. The bill will be voted on in Parliament this week and so your support could really count towards showing MSPs just how important the bill is.

If you are over Edinburgh way on Tuesday please try to make it along. There is more information on the day and the background to the bill on the Pedal on Parliament website here and here, and an event page to sign up to here if you are planning on attending.
