On Friday we shared with you Friends of the Earth Scotland’s response to the proposals Glasgow City Council has put forward for their Low Emission Zones. We are in full agreement that these fall way below standards likely to make a difference to the illegal levels of pollution in our city.
FoE are now planning a protest this Tuesday set to happen just before the meeting the council will hold to discuss the plans. They are asking that we join them for a lunch time photo action and die-in to highlight that air pollution is killing people and to demand that Glasgow City Council improves its Low Emission Zone.
Meet at 12:30 pm sharp at the lions on George Square. Bring banners, and gas masks if you have them.
