** POSTPONED ** WCV Campaigners Training Day

We are really sorry to announce that Saturday’s WCV Campaigners Training Day has had to be postponed due to the weather. We are sorry to disappoint but will aim to get a new date out for this as soon as we can. All ticket holders have been contacted but please do share the word around anyone you know who had been planning on coming on the day.

GoBike Members Take Action on Byres Road

Yesterday one of our GoBike mini-campaigns ‘Space for People Byres Road’ took to the busy streets of Partick and Hillhead in a day of action to gather support for better provision for cyclists and pedestrians in Glasgow City Council’s plans for the upcoming £9m regeneration of Byres Road. #iloh – The Dangerous

On Friday the 9th of February a number of intrepid GoBike members took to the streets of Glasgow, the purpose being to bring the Cycling Embassy of Great Britain’s Insert Loved One Here #iloh social media campaign into the physical world.

 

 

Armed with bright orange spray chalk and some laser cut stencils, two teams adventured on their bikes to the roads of Glasgow.

Sauchiehall Avenue Support Event – Sunday 28th Jan 11am

Do you have an hour to spare this coming Sunday morning? Some of our members have organised an appreciation event for the work happening on Sauchiehall Street. Here’s Euan with more:

“A safer, better Sauchiehall Street is currently under construction. There will be more space for people, complete with safe cycling provision! Come along this Sunday 28th Jan for 11am at ABC, Sauchiehall St to join us in showing support.”
