  • Record proportion of journeys being made by bike on Edinburgh’s new City Centre route and Glasgow’s South City Way
  • Over 1,700 more people cycling on Glasgow’s South City Way in two-day survey period in September 2024 vs 2023, a 46% annual increase
  • Edinburgh’s City Centre West to East Link sees additional 1,000 people cycling in two-day survey period in January 2025 vs 2024, an 83% annual increase
  • Evidence of wider impact of South City Way, with growth in cycling on nearby streets

Starting from the SEC we made our way to the first park, Glasgow Green and then the seven of us moved on to at least another 10.

Sunday 2 March 2025, the GoBike ride – Eastern Parks

This ride sees us heading along the riverside to Glasgow Green, then onwards to explore the East End of Glasgow, including its parks. We will see some of the better known parks such as Tollcross Park and Hogganfield Park, and also some of the smaller parks.

Along the way we will pass attractions as diverse as the Velodrome and Provan Hall. We will finish up at Speirs Wharf at around lunchtime.
22 miles, with the occasional climb, and short bits on main roads.

Meet 10am at the north end of Bell’s Bridge, Congress Road, Glasgow.

Sorry about this but the ice is scary out there and, as you know, GoBike rides try to avoid busy main roads. Paths and byways could be treacherous.
