Glasgow – regeneration of 4 city centre areas: Broomielaw, Blythswood, St Enoch and Central

Glasgow City Centre

Glasgow City Council recently announced the start of work on four new Regeneration Frameworks for the city centre – Broomielaw, Blythswood, St Enoch and Central.  This follows on from the pilot Sauchiehall District Framework which was approved by the Council in May 2016.  This introduced the concept of avenues, with reduced car lanes, new cycle lanes and trees planned for Sauchiehall Street from Charing Cross east towards the pedestrian precinct (which is also a core path and thus open for cycling).

The Sauchiehall website may now be seen at: www.glasgowcitycentrestrategy.com
