Committee Meetings

Our committee meetings in 2022 are every two months on Tuesday evenings from 19:00 – 21:30 are currently held virtually due to COVID-19. We are considering where to hold meetings so that the venue is accessible and convenient.

Normally meetings are held from 19:00 for a prompt start at 19:30. Again, this is under review.

Meetings for 2022 are scheduled for 11 January / 8 March / 10 May / 13 September / 8 November.

Committee members will endeavour to attend but any other members are also welcome. Non committee members can listen and take part, but may not vote should a voting situation arise.

Anyone wishing to join GoBike may come along to any meeting and join there if you wish. New members are always welcome.

Annual General Meetings

  • 2021 Tuesday 7th December – Zoom meeting. Review of GoBike activities.
  • 2020: Thursday 19th November – Zoom meeting. Our guest speaker was Sarah Berry – Diary of a New Cyclist (Blog) / Campaigner for Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTN).
  • 2019: Saturday 16th November at Bike for Good, 539 Victoria Road, Glasgow, G42 8BH. Our guest speaker was Lesley MacInnes, Convenor Edinburgh City Council Transport and Environment Committee.
  • 2018: Saturday 17th November at Collabor8ate, 22 Montrose Street, Glasgow, G1 1RE. Special guest speakers Paul Gasson from the Waltham Forest Cycling Campaign, and Sally Hinchcliffe from Cycling Dumfries.
  • 2017: Wednesday 29 November at the Admiral Bar, Waterloo Street. Our Guest Speaker this year was Councillor Anna Richardson, Glasgow City Council’s Convenor for Sustainability and Carbon Reduction.
  • 2016: Wednesday 23 November at the Admiral Bar, Waterloo Street. Our Guest Speaker this year was Councillor Martin McElroy, cycling spokesperson from Glasgow City Council.  He  spoke on Glasgow’s Strategic Plan for Cycling. The Convenor’s 2016 presentation can be found here.

All members can vote in the AGM.

Public Meetings

We run annual Call for Action Days for our members and others to generate ideas and action.
