A year ago Glasgow City Council consulted on Traffic Management and Parking changes for Dennistoun and Royston. Post Covid they have now radically changed their plans to be far more what we think of as a Low Traffic Neighbourhood, with improvements for those of us who cycle.

Forth and Clyde canal cycling route: closed at Bowling for a week from 29 October.

News just in from our members who are also Sustrans volunteers. Emergency works to repair a fault in cabling which is linked to the local hospital power supply have started today between Portpatrick Road and Bowling on the Forth and Clyde Canal and are expected to close the canal side cycle route for a week.

If you were thinking of heading that way over the weekend or next week a new route will be needed. There is no indication of an alternative diversionary route on the information we have – sorry.

Notice of Works on Union Rail Bridge, Adelphi Street

We have been notified of works that will be taking place on the City Union Bridge at Adelphi Street, between the Central Mosque and the Nautical College.

Network Rail will be doing some refurbishment works on the rail over bridge at Adelphi Street between 18/2/19 and 7/4/19.
