To kick off our shorter winter season rides, we will head along to Glasgow Harbour, then head through Knightswood and Blairdardie to climb up to Drumchapel, though it doesn’t yet look like this!.

Kidical Mass Glasgow is coming to the Southside on Saturday 13 September
Why you may ask? We don’t know about you, but we believe…
Every child should be able to cycle to school safely. Yet we lack adequate, well-connected cycling infrastructure to make this happen.
Every child deserves to breathe in clean air. Yet, 93% of Glasgow schools are in areas that violate WHO guidelines on safe air to breathe. Yikes!
Every child should be safe in our public spaces. Yet, do you feel comfortable letting your child or young person enjoy our public spaces independently?
We want to ensure our public spaces are designed to keep our kids safe, healthy and happy. Something that will benefit all of us, because safe streets for kids are safe streets for all.
Ambitious? Absolutely! But it will also be bright, bold, colourful and most importantly totally joyous. Because that’s exactly what our public spaces should be. Fun, safe, and welcoming spaces to be.

Seven of us cycled east from the SEC along the Clyde today before turning north onto London Road and then towards Baillieston and Bargeddie.
After a break for lunch in Drumpellier Park, we started our return journey but stopped in Cranhill to admire the model lighthouses and winged figures around the water tower.
Yes, we had some rain early on but we soon dried out and could sit outside at the Park Cafe to eat our lunch.
Next month’s ride will be on Sunday 05 October, when we go to Goldenhill Park!

And this year the organisers have been working in partnership with Bike for Good to bring your four cycle routes – north, east, west and south – so you can get form venue to venue by bike and see even more of what is on offer!

You are invited to attend the GoBike Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday 17 September 2025.
The AGM will be a hybrid meeting – online via Zoom and in-person at the STUC Glasgow office, 8 Landressy Street Glasgow G40 1BP.
The AGM will be a great opportunity for members and others to hear what GoBike has been up to since our last AGM in March 2025 and to contribute to what GoBike should be focusing on over the next few years. We have also invited SPT (Strathclyde Partnership for Transport) and Voi to make short presentations as well.
