GoBike Hustings now available to view online

The 2021 Holyrood GoBike hustings was held on Monday evening this week and if you missed it, is now available to view online:

Thank you to all of our candidates for coming along to share their views with such respectful and insightful discourse. We heard from three candidates for Glasgow Kelvin – Patrick Harvie from the Scottish Green Party, Kaukab Stewart from the SNP and David McKenzie from the Liberal Democrats. Alex Rowley for Cowdenbeath also attended for the Scottish Labour Party. Graham Simpson from the Conservative Party was due to attend but as his party had not yet lifted their campaign suspension due to the death of HRH Prince Phillip, he did not come along. You can hear Graham speak at next weeks Cycling UK/Pedal on Parliament hustings on Tuesday 20th April.

We had over 50 attendees on the night. During the event we ran a poll, asking whether the hustings had shifted any of our attendees voting intentions. Polling showed that 16.7% of attendees had decided on how to vote at the start of the hustings but by the end were unsure, while 12.5% changed their mind during the course of the hustings from unsure to decided. Hustings on matters important to voters are clearly a useful way to help shape voters views. Whatever you do decide though, please remember to use your vote on the 6th of May.
