October sees us revert to the shorter Sunday morning rides for the winter period, and sees also our first ride over the long-awaited Govan Bridge.
We will start by heading to the bridge at Yorkhill Quay and cross to Govan, though it’s unlikely to be as busy as it was the opening weekend!
We will then follow a series of sections of cycle route to the riverside at Renfrew, and then go and check up on progress on the Renfrew to Paisley cycle route, before returning to Glasgow via Barshaw Park. We’ll end up back at the Govan Bridge around lunchtime.
15 miles, and note that the date of this ride coincides with that of the Great Scottish Run. While our ride avoids its routes, this event may affect your journey to our starting point.
We meet at the north end of Bell’s Bridge, just on the city side at 10:00.
