Fourteen of us set off from the SEC this morning, crossing over the river and through Cessnock to Bellahouston Park (including a quick toilet stop).

We went through Leverndale (see photo above) and Hawkhead, making our way past Paisley Canal Railway Station before heading down to Elderslie and Johnstone for a break in Howwood (see photo below)

After the breather we made our way to the cycle route along the old railway but branched off to go through Linwood and Ferguslie Park to reach Paisley for a lunch stop.

The last leg of the ride took us through the busy Barshaw Park, then Hillington and on to finish the ride at a very busy Govan Bridge and Riverside Museum, with lots of people out enjoying the sun.
Many thanks to Derek for the photos!
Our next ride will be on Sunday 04 May, when we step up the distance to 45 miles to go north east to Palacerigg Country Park, for a cafe lunch (or bring your own) with very little on main roads.
