GoBike ride 07 August – our route

Here’s the up and downy route that Andy took us on last Sunday. The ride started, as per usual, at the north end of Bell’s Bridge and we cycled out via Bellahouston Park and Mosspark, skirted Neilston and arrived at Gleniffer Braes from where we had a superb view of the Clyde Valley to the west of the city, a good place for our break.

The whole route covered the full range of cycling infrastructure, from cycle lanes to on-road and some “interesting” tracks.

Our return journey took us through Dykebar, Hawkhead, Cardonald and Govan. One of our number peeled off to go via Paisley to get back to the Vale of Leven, Andy + 1 peeled off at the Clyde Tunnel and the rest of us made our way into the city. The route above shows detail to the east of Bell’s Bridge and the green dot marks a secret place near Glasgow Green – the start and end point for your blog author!
